BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma and Diploma in Sport

BTEC Nationals are widely recognised by industry and higher education. They provide progression to the workplace either directly or via study at university. The BTEC Sport is a course allowing those with an interest in sport and exercise to really specialise in the area. It will give you the right skills to go to university or seek employment in the industry. These qualifications are developed in close collaboration with experts from professional bodies, businesses and universities.

BTEC Sports courses embody a flexible, unit-based structure and focus on the development of the practical, interpersonal and thinking skills required to succeed in higher education and employment in the sports sector. The BTEC National in Sport will allow you to study in a practical or applied way and help you develop the knowledge and skills desired by employers and universities. There will be a mixture of traditional lessons, workshops, independent research, and practical.

PEARSON BTEC LEVEL 3 NATIONAL NATIONAL SUBSIDIARY IN SPORT

  • Equivalent to one A level

  • Assessed through coursework (no external exams)

  • 7 units over two years

  • Anatomy and Physiology, Physiology of Fitness, Fitness Training, Practical Sport, Fitness Testing, Sports Nutrition, Assessing Risk

 

 

PEARSON BTEC LEVEL 3 NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN SPORT

With the BTEC National in Sport, you will learn about:

  • Equivalent to two A levels

  • Assessed through coursework (no external exams)

  • 13 units over two years

  • Anatomy and Physiology, Physiology of Fitness, Fitness Training, Practical Sports, Fitness Testing, Sports Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Sports Development, Sports Coaching, Sports Injuries, Instructing Fitness Sessions, Current Issues in Sports, Assessing Risk
